LT. Jacquet was in the second class of 24 WW II US Navy flight nurses that were trained at the U S Navy school of Air Evacuation,Alameda, CA in early 1945. There was only a total number of approximately 112 WWII Navy flight nurses. These US Navy flight nurses were based in Guam and flew in R5D's carrying the wounded from the battlegrounds of Iwo Jima and Okinawa, back to Guam or other sites. Their unit was VRE-1 (NATS) and they evacuated over 9600 wounded from Okinawa in those 3 months alone!
